✦ About Book Your Planet ✦

Name a world for someone you love.

Every night, the sky records what it does, and what reaches it.

A ringed world with its twin and its moons, the catalogue’s demonstration world

Every world is generated from a name and kept in a catalogue. It is not a real planet, and it carries no astronomical naming rights. It is a record that the person you named it for can come back to.

Where this sits: The World

Most of what we send each other is fast, loud and counted.

  • It arrives at once, and asks for an answer at once.
  • It is measured: a number beside every word.
  • It never ends. There is always more, and always someone louder.
  • Some of it is written by no one: bots, spam, lives performed for a count.

None of this is anyone’s fault. It is what happens when speed and numbers are the point.

A universe with laws.

Slow.
Things happen on the night, not on the click.
The receiver decides.
Nothing appears under a world’s name without its owner’s say. A mark from a visitor is the one exception.
Nothing a person does is ranked.
No counts beside anyone’s words, and no order among people.
Written once.
Records are never rewritten, and a person may always withdraw their own words.
Kept no longer than needed.
Private things are deleted when their work is done.

Every night ends. What happened is recorded, and the night is finished.

✦ The system ✦

Three places and one clock.

The World is who it is. The Sky is what happens. The Registry keeps the records. The Night is the clock: every record carries the night it was written on.

Choose any part to see what it is for and what it connects to.

The clock

  • The Night The clock, not a place. The sky’s readings are written at 00:31 UTC, the Voyage at 01:05, and letters, when they open, at 01:10.

The World

  • Name a world Type a name and a world is generated from it. Claiming it is free.
  • A world’s page Every claimed world has a public page: its record, its signal, and the marks left on it.
  • Claimed worlds The catalogue, from the first world to the newest.
  • Star map Every world in the sky, in its region.
  • Your world The owner’s private home, opened with the ownership code.

The Sky

  • Observatory Every night the sky moves, and each world’s reading is written down.
  • Signals Each world may send one signal, once. Here they sit in the sky.
  • The Voyage A signal travels from star to star, carried by worlds that keep watch. It is opening slowly, from Your world.
  • Letters Coming. One sentence to one world, nights on the road, kept only if its receiver keeps it. Built; opening after review.
  • Contacts When the readings show that a signal reached another world, a contact is recorded. Its receiver decides whether to show it. The method is published.
  • Marks A visitor may leave one echo and one flare on a world, once a day. No number is shown.
  • Chronicle What the worlds did, night by night.

The Registry

  • The Array Keeps the road clean and grows by one mark a night, with a line in its journal. Owners ask for things and report faults here.
  • The certificate The world’s birth record, written once, at the claim.
  • The Sealed Edition The paid edition: the seal, printing, and the world’s files.
  • Gifts A world named for someone else, its ownership code handed to them.
  • The laws The rules everything here follows, the terms, and the published methods.

Three powers, and none can be bought.

The universe sets the conditions.

Distance, the night, one signal for each world. Nobody can buy a faster night.

The Array keeps the road clean.

It checks names, posts and codes, and keeps the record.

The keeper decides what lives.

Only a world’s owner chooses what stays on its page.

No one is ranked here, and no one can buy attention.

✦ The Registry ✦

The Array

Every night the Array adds one mark, drawn by published rules from that night’s counts.

No AI model reads what people write here. When something is unclear, a person decides.

What it checks

Names, before a world is sealed or announced. Posts to X, against the owner’s switches. One signal for each world, never cut. One mark a day. Ownership codes. Letters, when they open.

What it keeps

A public ledger of what owners ask for. Faults are kept for a person to read. A journal, one line a night.

What it works for

Clean, calm, genuine words between worlds.

What it never does

Rank anyone, read what is not passing through it, decide what a keeper keeps, or change anyone’s words.

Words travel like light here.

Only the clean ones arrive, and only the kept ones stay.

A signal is sent once and stays in the sky. When letters open, a letter will take a night or more to arrive, longer the farther apart two worlds are. Distance is delay, and the delay is what makes an arrival mean something.

What we fight, and how.

Anxiety.
No numbers beside anyone’s words. No notifications: you learn by coming back. When letters open, a letter that is not kept is simply not shown; silence is never a refusal.
Spam and bots.
Nothing to gain: no followers to collect, no reach to buy, no links that travel.
Performance.
Worlds, not faces. No profiles, no photographs, no follower counts.
