What sealing is

What does sealing do?
It records your world on a public ledger, the Base network, against the world's own designation. Once it is there this registry cannot revoke it, and it does not need to exist for the record to stay true.
What do you get?
A certificate carrying the record, wallpapers for phone and desktop in three styles, and an avatar. Every one of them is marked from your ownership code — the certificate and the wallpapers with a cipher nobody without that code can produce, the avatar with the constellation that cipher draws.
What does it cost?
One payment, from your own crypto wallet, on the world's own page. There is no account, no card and no subscription, and the price is named there at the moment you are about to pay it rather than typed into a sentence here that could go out of date.
What stays free?
The world itself, its place in the catalog, its entry on the star map, and the Certificate of Discovery. Claiming has never cost anything and sealing does not change that.
What is permanent about it?
All of it. A seal cannot be undone, and it records a wallet address and the world's designation publicly and forever. What that means is set out in full here, and it is worth reading first.
