Sealing records your world on Base, a public blockchain — a shared ledger that no company, including this one, can edit or take down. It costs 100 USDC, a dollar-pegged token, paid from your own wallet. There is no account here and no card payment; the wallet is the account.

You need three things.

1 · A wallet. An app that holds your funds and proves it is you. MetaMask is the usual first choice — install the browser extension and follow its setup. Write down the recovery phrase it gives you; it is the only way to restore the wallet.

2 · A little ETH on Base, for the network fee. The seal transaction on this registry measured 0.0000023 ETH — well under one cent — so a dollar’s worth covers many seals. Buy ETH on an exchange (Coinbase is the simplest route to Base, since Base is its network; any exchange that supports Base works) and withdraw it to your wallet, choosing Base as the network.

3 · 100 USDC on Base. Buy USDC on the same exchange and withdraw it to your wallet, again on Base.

Then open your world’s page and go to the Make it permanent step. It says what sealing does, then what it unlocks, then the price and the network it is paid on. If you arrived from the Sealed Edition page it asks for your ownership code first; if you have just claimed the world, it already knows the world is yours and goes straight to the button.

Your wallet then asks twice, in this order: once to sign the payment authorisation — a signature, not a transaction, so it costs nothing and never touches the chain — and once to seal, the single transaction that pays and makes the record. Some older wallets cannot sign an authorisation; those are asked to approve the amount in its own transaction first, and the page says so rather than leaving you guessing.

The record usually appears within a few seconds — Base produces a block about every two seconds, and the page watches the chain until your seal is on it. From then on your certificate and your wallpapers carry the seal and the transaction reference, and your world reads as sealed in the catalogue.

A seal cannot be undone, and it records your wallet address permanently and publicly. Your ownership code is still the only way back to your world — sealing does not change that — so keep it safe.

When you claim a planet you receive: a unique procedurally generated world with its own type, diameter, atmosphere, moons, and rarity score; a permanent catalog ID in the galactic registry; a Certificate of Discovery you can view on screen, forever; an interactive 3D view of your planet you can rotate; and a shareable link so others can view your world. All of that is free and needs no account. Printing the certificate and downloading the wallpaper files come with the Sealed Edition.

Right after claiming, you can optionally answer three quick "this or that" questions about how your planet would govern itself — order or freedom, progress or tradition, community or independence. Your answers sort your planet into one of eight personality types, shown on your data card and certificate as its Governance profile. A second, deeper set of five questions ("Expand your planet's DNA") adds richer flavor text on top of that same result. None of it affects your planet's actual generated attributes — it's purely optional, fictional, and just for fun. The Galactic Census on the star map shows how the whole catalog has answered so far.

Every claimed planet may transmit one signal — a permanent founding transmission: a short statement (up to 480 characters) of what your world stands for. You'll need your ownership code to transmit it, and once broadcast it can never be edited or recalled, the same way the planet itself can't change once claimed. If you've taken the Planet DNA quiz, the Transmit page will reference your result as a starting prompt. All transmissions are visible to anyone on the Transmit page.

Your name is turned into a mathematical seed using a deterministic hashing algorithm. That seed generates every attribute of your planet — type, size, atmosphere, ring system, moon count, surface texture, and the discovery record text. Nothing else is mixed in: not the date, not your device, not your location. The same name always produces the same world, anywhere, on any device, forever. (We do detect your approximate country, but only to show a flag beside your name in the registry — it has no effect on the planet you get.)

The catalog contains 12 planet types: Rocky World, Desert World, Ocean World, Ice World, Forest World, Volcanic World, Carbon World, Iron World, Gas Giant, Ice Giant, Super-Puff, and the rare Binary-Lit World. Each has unique colors, surface textures, atmospheric descriptions, and visual features rendered in 2D and full 3D. Rarity ranges from Common through Uncommon and Rare to the coveted Exceptional.

Claimed planets are part of the public catalog — once claimed, yours appears in the Claimed Planets gallery and on the Star Map for anyone to browse. Your ownership code stays private to you and is the only way to prove a planet is yours, transmit its signal, or access the verified Certificate of Discovery — but the planet itself, including its name and attributes, is part of the shared collection.

Yes, in two ways — one by design, one very rare.

By design: the same name always produces the same planet. Type "Ada Lovelace" in Vilnius or Vancouver, today or in ten years, and you get the same world — that is the entire promise, and it is why the first person to claim a name keeps it.

By accident: two different names can, in principle, land on the same world. Your name is converted into one of about 4.3 billion possible seeds, and your catalog ID now encodes that seed completely, so two names share a world only if they share a seed. For any two given names that is roughly a one-in-four-billion chance. Across a whole catalog the odds add up the way they do for shared birthdays: at ten thousand claimed worlds, there is about a one-in-a-hundred chance that some pair somewhere shares a seed. That is small, but it is not zero, and we would rather tell you the real number than say "never". If it ever happens to you, write to hello@akai.solutions and we will sort it out by hand.

Printing comes with the Sealed Edition. Your Certificate of Discovery is free to view on screen forever; sealing the world on a public ledger is what unlocks printing it, along with the wallpapers and the avatar.

Once the world is sealed, open the Sealed Edition page, enter your ownership code (format: BYP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and press Print your Certificate of Discovery. Your browser's own print dialog does the rest, and Save as PDF is one of its choices. The sheet carries your planet's portrait, catalog ID, type, diameter, atmosphere, moons, rarity, claim date and its seal, formatted for A4 or Letter and designed to be framed.

Save the code either way. It is the only way back to your world, and there is no account behind it and no reset.

No. Your planet is generated deterministically from your name — it will always exist. Your ownership code (BYP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) is the key to look it up again at any time. Save it and your planet is permanently accessible.
